I haven't sat in the back of my truck and stared since I was an intern. I haven't felt the panic of having no idea in so many years. I haven't not known the streets or all the answers in so long. I'm there again tonight. I'm in that place where I need you.

I need you because I'm not sure how this house is going to go up this week. I need you because I saw the land on the side of the cliff and I asked a lot of questions yet have no answers. I need you because tomorrow I have to lead the way and I still don't know where I'm going. I need you because I don't know when it will rain, or how these high school kids will deal with this heat or how this concrete will make it to the place it's supposed to go 5 feet down the cliff. I need you because I'm exhausted already. Because I know tomorrow I won't have the strength; because I don't tonight.

I don't know what will happen this week. I have absolutely no clue. But I know that we will begin and we will finish this home. I know that you will use us; you will use this group I have never met, because you chose us. I know that I will be empty, and then there will be more room for you.

I need you this week God. I haven't "needed" you like this in so long...
