Creation Cries Out

It never ceases to amaze me that creation refuses not to shine.

Creation is not concerned with a drug war that happened on the ground or that Juarez was labeled "the most violent city in the world." It refuses to be labeled or to bow down. Creation is not concerned with safety, brokenness, hopelessness or defeat, as the sun rises every morning and the birds and the roosters cry out to welcome in the new day. It refuses to bow down to the coming of night but rather chooses to paint it's colors in the clouds. It is not concerned with gun fire or wars across the world that light up the night sky as simultaneously stars shoot across the sky that do the same. The sun does not ask permission to set and it refuses not to rise.

No brokenness or danger or fear or defeat can change God and His glory. He refuses to be unfaithful to himself. He refuses not to reveal His glory. Although brokenness rivals to steal His beauty from this world, He refuses to be silent. He refuses not to show His splendor. Creation refuses to bow down.

On this day when we remember that Jesus gave His life, may we also remember that the sun rose this morning just as any other. The birds cried out to greet the day. And Jesus rose, willing to make a sacrifice that He knew would bring the greatest resurrection, hope and sunrise ever.
