Silent
In the midst of building in Mexico, e-mails and phone calls from everyone i know, houses being built, teams canceling, a drug war, reporters, news stories, stuccoing and drywall, staff pulling together to build canceled homes, families losing hope, families receiving hope, tears of joy, exhaustion, and sorrow, spring break chaos, too much time driving and working, too little time sleeping, memories, dreams, thoughts, and constant noise;
i hang up the phone and walk into a Mexican church filled with dirty and tired high school students singing praises to God.
And as their voices fill the air, immediately the noise of everything else falls silent.
