This One’s For The Dreamers
Tonight I walked along the US/MX border with people that are caught in the crosshairs of our political climate. This march was one that I didn’t know all the specifics of, because I have been out of the country. Regardless, I wanted to hear the hearts of those that were gathered there and hear their stories.
As I walked down the parade of hundreds, what I didn’t know in detail was made up for by what I could see. These are families and mothers and fathers and children. They are hopeful and scared and alive. Without warning, my eyes filled up with tears as they marched by.
So this one is for the dreamers. The ones without any words. And this ones for the hopeful. For the voices begging to be heard.
