"music is what feelings sound like"

I think music is my drug and I am breathing it in deep. I’m amazed at the power that a song can have; that it can create a moment so spiritual or so raw that you have no idea what to do with yourself. It’s amazing that a song can have the power to wreck you like nothing else does. And at its best this is what music should be. It should encompass and take hold of your emotions to the point that you don’t know whether to laugh or to cry and as the tears fall you realize you are no longer in control. It should bring you to your knees as words can’t encompass this moment that the sound fills. It is to lose yourself in a way that you can close your eyes and have no idea where you are; to somehow feel the emotion of falling in love yet you didn’t fall at all; to be so wrapped up in this sound that you can hear your heart beat and every breath is deep. You breathe it in; the moment, the sound, the feeling, and it becomes a part of you. This moment is beautiful and I am speechless.
