Birthday Cause

apparently Facebook wants to be my friend and help me on my birthday. it's a pretty cool idea that they give an option for people to give to charitable causes in honor of your birthday instead of giving to you. i can't think of a better way to celebrate my 29th birthday than to be able to help the cause i've been working on for 3 years; to bring some form of heat to families in Mexico that go through the winter and snow with none. i went across the border to give out blankets yesterday. school is canceled over there because it is too cold in the block school building with no heat. there was snow still lingering on the side of the road. i stopped to give a blanket and hat to a mother and her little boy. they were walking down the street. his lips were blue and chattering but he managed a smile as i gave them the gifts. there's nothing i want more for my birthday than to give these families some kind of warmth. if you can help, please do!
